1. What is a business industry code?

Business industry codes are a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. 2. Regulations on Industry Code 3822 for Treatment and Disposal of Hazardous Waste

This group includes: Pre-treatment and disposal of hazardous solid and non-solid waste, including waste such as explosive, corrosive, flammable, toxic, irritant, carcinogenic, corrosive, infectious, and other substances harmful to human health and the environment.

Exclusions:

– Incineration of non-hazardous waste is classified under group 3821 (Treatment and Disposal of Non-Hazardous Waste);

– Decontamination and cleaning of soil and surface water; disposal of toxic materials are classified under group 39000 (Remediation activities and other waste management services);

– Reprocessing of nuclear fuel is classified under group 2011 (Manufacture of basic chemicals).

This group includes: Activities of facilities for the treatment and disposal of waste from medical establishments.

38229: Treatment and Disposal of Other Hazardous Waste

This group includes:

– Activities of hazardous waste treatment facilities;

– Treatment and disposal of infected living and dead animals and other pathogenic waste:

– Disposal of hazardous waste;

– Disposal of used goods such as refrigerators to remove harmful waste;

– Treatment, disposal, and storage of radioactive nuclear waste such as:

+ Treatment and disposal of radioactive waste in transit, i.e., substances that decay during transport from hospitals.

+ Packaging, preparation of conditions, and other treatment activities for nuclear waste for storage.

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 3822 for Treatment and Disposal of Hazardous Waste

– When registering to establish a business, when notifying changes to business lines, or when requesting to change to a Business Registration Certificate, the business founder or enterprise selects a level four economic industry in the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification System to record the business line in the enterprise registration application.
