1. What is a Business Industry Code?

Business industry codes are a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. 2. Regulations on Industry Code 3011 for Shipbuilding and Floating Structures

This group includes: Building of civilian and military ships (except for sports or recreational boats) and construction of floating structures.

Specifically:

– Building of commercial ships: Passenger ships, ferries, cargo ships, barges, tugboats, etc.;

– Building of warships, military vessels;

– Building of fishing boats, fish processing vessels, and other types of vessels used for processing or preserving aquatic products;

– Manufacturing of underwater unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

This group also includes:

– Building of hovercraft (except those for recreational purposes);

+ Manufacturing of marine engines is classified under group 28110 (Manufacture of engines and turbines (except aircraft, automotive, motorcycle, and moped engines)).

– Manufacturing of navigation equipment for ships is classified under group 26510 (Manufacture of measuring, testing, navigating, and control equipment);

– Manufacturing of lighting equipment for ships is classified under group 27400 (Manufacture of electric lighting equipment);

– Manufacturing of engines for seaplanes, amphibious vehicles is classified under group 29100 (Manufacture of motor vehicles);

– Manufacturing of inflatable boats or rafts for recreation is classified under group 30120 (Building of pleasure and sporting boats);

– Specialized repair and maintenance for ships and floating systems is classified under group 33150 (Repair and maintenance of other transport equipment (except motor vehicles, motorcycles, and other motorized vehicles));

– Breaking up of old ships is classified under group 3830 (Recycling of waste and scrap);

– Installation of interior fittings for ships and boats is classified under group 43300 (Building completion and finishing).

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 3011 for Shipbuilding and Floating Structures

– When registering a new enterprise, notifying changes to business lines, or requesting a conversion to a new Enterprise Registration Certificate, the enterprise founder or the enterprise selects the four-digit economic industry code from the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification to record the business lines in the enterprise registration dossier.
