1. What is a business industry code?

Business industry code is a sequence of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table to register. 2. Regulations on Industry Code 0910 Support activities for petroleum and natural gas extraction

This group includes:

Activities of providing oil and gas extraction services on a fee or contract basis, such as:

– Exploration service activities in oil and gas extraction such as: traditional ore sampling methods, geological observations in potential areas;

– Directional drilling, spudding, rig building, equipment repair and dismantling, cementing, well pumping, well plugging, well abandonment…

– Liquefaction and regasification of natural gas for transport purposes, carried out at the mining site;

– Activities of providing pumping and dewatering services on a fee or contract basis;

– Installation, repair, and specialized offshore maintenance of equipment that are integral parts of a platform are classified under industry 43 (Specialized construction activities);

– Liquefaction and regasification of natural gas for transport purposes, not carried out at the mining site, are classified under group 5225 (Direct support services for road transport);

– Geophysical and geological survey activities in oil and gas exploration areas are classified under group 7110 (Architectural and related engineering consulting activities).

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 0910 Support activities for petroleum and natural gas extraction

– When registering for business establishment, when notifying changes to business lines or when requesting to convert to a Business Registration Certificate, the business founder or enterprise selects a fourth-level economic industry in the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification to record the business line in the enterprise registration dossier. The business registration authority guides, cross-references, and records the enterprise’s business line in the National Enterprise Registration Database.

– For conditional business lines stipulated in other legal normative documents, the business line shall be recorded according to the industry stipulated in those legal normative documents.
