1. What is a Business Industry Code?

Business industry codes are a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. A 4-digit industry code (level 4) is the code used for business registration.

The Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification (VSIC) system, issued under Decision 36/2025/QĐ-TTg, has a hierarchical structure with 5 levels, from general to specific:

2. Regulations on Industry Code 0170 Hunting, trapping and related service activities

This group includes:

– Hunting and trapping for sale;

– Capturing animals for food, fur, skin, or for research purposes, rearing in zoos or at home;

– Production of fur, skins, reptile skins and bird feathers from hunting activities;

– Catching marine mammals such as hippos and seals;

– Exploiting swiftlet nests in caves, building swiftlet houses;

– Domestication of wild animals in zoos;

– Hunting for animal population control;

– Hunting foxes, weasels, wolves to protect livestock.

– Production of raw hides and skins from slaughterhouses is classified under 14200 (Manufacture of fur and leather products);

– Service activities related to hunting, sports or recreation are classified under group 93190 (Other sports activities);

– Service activities aimed at promoting hunting and trapping are classified under group 94990 (Activities of other organizations not elsewhere classified).

3. Suggested way to record Industry Code 0170 Hunting, trapping and related service activities
