1. What is a business industry code?

A business industry code is a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing their business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. Level 4 industry codes (4 digits) are used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 0121 Fruit growing

01211: Grape growing

This group includes: Growing grapes for wine production and growing table grapes.

Excludes: Wine production is classified under group 11020 (Manufacture of wine).

01212: Growing of tropical and subtropical fruits

This group includes: Growing mango trees, banana trees, papaya trees, dragon fruit trees… and growing other tropical and subtropical fruit trees.

01213: Growing of citrus fruits

This group includes: Growing orange trees, lemon trees, tangerine trees, pomelo trees, kumquat trees, Buddha’s hand citron trees, and other citrus fruit trees.

Excludes: Cashew growing is classified under group 01230 (Cashew growing).

3. Suggested way to record Industry Code 0121 Fruit growing

– When registering for business establishment, when notifying changes to business lines, or when requesting a change to a Business Registration Certificate, the business founder or enterprise selects a four-digit economic sector from the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification system to record the business line in the business registration application. The business registration authority will guide, cross-reference, and record the enterprise’s business lines in the National Business Registration Database.
