Regulations on priority road order are specified in Article 5 of National Technical Regulation QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT on Road Signs as follows:
- Freeway
- route
- Urban road
- Provincial road
- District road
- Commune road
- Special use road
– If two roads are in the same order and intersect at the same level, determining which road is the priority road is considered in turn according to the following regulations:
+ Designated as a priority road by competent authorities;
+ Roads with higher technical levels are given priority;
+ When vehicle traffic is different, roads with higher average day and night vehicle traffic are given priority;
+ When the average day and night traffic volume is equal, the road with more large public transport cars is given priority;
+ Any road with a higher level road surface will have priority.
– It is not allowed to specify that both intersections at the same level are priority roads at the same time.
