1. What is a business industry code?

A business industry code is a sequence of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. A 4-digit industry code (level 4) is used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 9039 Other support activities for artistic creation and performing arts

This group includes:

– Support activities for performing arts to produce live stage performances, e.g., stage shows, concerts, operas, dances, and other stage performances;

– Activities of producers, stage designers and builders, stagehands, lighting engineers, etc.;

– Organization of cultural and entertainment events, such as film festivals, theatrical or music and dance festivals;

– Activities of directors, screenwriters, film promoters, and program creators or supervisors.

This group also includes:

– Activities of producers or entrepreneurs of live artistic events, with or without facilities;

– Technical planning, provision, installation, and operation of audio-visual equipment and special effects related to the organization of live artistic events.

Excludes:

– Production of motion pictures (screened and unscreened in cinemas), including digital distribution, for direct screening in cinemas or for broadcasting or streaming is classified under group 591 (Motion picture, video and television programme activities);

– Broadcasting of live performances and events, classified under group 6020 (Television programming and broadcasting activities, and video distribution);

– Activities of private artistic or theatrical organizations or agents are classified under group 74990 (Other professional, scientific and technical activities n.e.c.);

– Casting activities are classified under group 78100 (Activities of employment agencies);

– Organization of conferences, workshops and trade exhibitions are classified under group 82300 (Organization of trade fairs and exhibitions);

– Technical planning, provision, installation, and operation of audio-visual equipment and special effects related to the organization of conferences, workshops, and trade exhibitions are classified under group 8230 (Organization of trade fairs and exhibitions);

– Activities of producers or promoters of sports events, with or without facilities, are classified under group 93190 (Other sports activities);

– Technical planning, provision, installation, and operation of audio-visual equipment and special effects related to the organization of live sports events are classified under group 93190 (Other sports activities);

– Technical planning, provision, installation, and operation of audio-visual equipment and special effects related to the organization of live amusement and recreation events are classified under group 93290 (Other amusement and recreation activities n.e.c.).

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 9039 Other support activities for artistic creation and performing arts

– When registering for business establishment, when notifying changes in business lines or when requesting a new Business Registration Certificate, the business founder or enterprise selects the four-digit economic industry code from the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification system to record the business lines in the business registration dossier.
