Business Industry Codes are a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. The 4-digit industry code (level 4) is the code used for business registration.

The Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification System (VSIC), issued under Decision 36/2025/QD-TTg, has a hierarchical structure with 5 levels, from general to specific:

This group includes:

– Collection of non-hazardous solid waste (household waste) in local areas, such as the collection of waste from households and businesses using garbage bags, garbage trucks, containers, etc., which may be mixed with reclaimable materials;

– Collection of recyclable materials (sorted or unsorted);

– Collection of non-hazardous waste of animal or plant origin;

– Collection of used cooking oil and grease;

– Collection of waste in public places;

– Collection of garden waste;

– Collection of waste from construction and demolition;

– Collection and clearing of debris such as branches and broken bricks;

– Collection of industrial plant waste;

– Operation of non-hazardous waste collection stations.

Excludes:

– Collection of wastewater is classified under group 3700 (Sewerage and wastewater treatment);

– Collection of hazardous waste is classified under group 3812 (Collection of hazardous waste);

– Operation of non-hazardous waste landfills and permanent storage of non-hazardous waste is classified under group 3821 (Treatment and disposal of non-hazardous waste);

– Operation of facilities for sorting recyclable waste is classified under group 3830 (Recycling of sorted materials);

– Activities of waste recycling facilities.

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 3811 Collection of non-hazardous waste

– When registering a business establishment, when notifying changes to business lines, or when requesting a change to a Business Registration Certificate, the business founder or enterprise selects a four-digit economic industry code from the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification System to record the business line in the business registration application. The business registration authority guides, cross-references, and records the enterprise’s business lines in the National Business Registration Database.

– For conditional business lines stipulated in other legal documents, the business line shall be recorded according to the regulations in those legal documents.
