1. What is a Business Industry Code?

Business industry code is a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. Level 4 industry code (4 digits) is the industry code used for business registration.

This group includes: Manufacture of athletic and sports equipment (excluding sportswear and footwear).

Specifically:

– Manufacture of products and equipment for sports, for indoor and outdoor competitions, made from all types of materials such as:

– Manufacture of sports footwear is classified under group 15200 (Manufacture of footwear);

– Manufacture of weapons and ammunition for sports, hunting or target shooting is classified under group 25200 (Manufacture of weapons and ammunition);

– Manufacture of metal weights used for weightlifting is classified under group 2599 (Manufacture of other metal products n.e.c.);

– Manufacture of sports vehicles other than sleds and similar vehicles is classified under industry 29 (Manufacture of motor vehicles and other motor vehicles) and 30 (Manufacture of other transport equipment);

– Manufacture of sports and recreational boats is classified under group 30120 (Building of sports and leisure boats and yachts);

– Manufacture of billiards tables and bowling alley equipment is classified under group 32400 (Manufacture of games and toys);

– Manufacture of earplugs and noise plugs (e.g. for swimming or noise protection) is classified under group 32900 (Other manufacturing n.e.c.);

– Manufacture of safety helmets is classified under group 32900 (Other manufacturing n.e.c.);

– Repair of sports goods is classified under group 95290 (Repair of bicycles, watches, and other personal and household goods n.e.c.).
