1. What is a Business Industry Code?

Business industry codes are a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. Level 4 industry codes (4 digits) are the codes used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 2593 Manufacturing of cutlery, hand tools and general hardware

This group includes:

– Manufacture of household cutting tools such as knives, forks, spoons, etc.;

– Manufacture of parts of cutlery such as: Chopping knives and cleavers, razors and razor blades, scissors and hair clippers;

– Manufacture of knives and blades for machines and machine parts;

– Manufacture of hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers;

– Manufacture of non-powered agricultural hand tools;

– Manufacture of saws and saw blades, including circular saw blades and chainsaws;

– Manufacture of interchangeable tools for hand tools, whether or not power-operated, or for machine tools such as: drills, augers, threading tools, grooving tools;

– Manufacture of pressing tools;

– Manufacture of padlocks, locks, keys, hinges… hardware for construction, furniture, bicycles…;

Exclusions:

– Manufacture of cooking utensils (pots, kettles…), eating utensils (bowls, plates…) or flatware (shallow dishes…) is classified under group 2599 (Manufacture of other fabricated metal products n.e.c.);

– Manufacture of power-operated hand tools is classified under group 28180 (Manufacture of power-operated hand tools);

– Manufacture of ingot molds is classified under group 28230 (Manufacture of machinery and equipment for metallurgy);

– Manufacture of cutlery from precious metals is classified under group 32110 (Manufacture of jewelry and related articles).

– When registering a new enterprise, when notifying changes to business lines, or when requesting a change to the Enterprise Registration Certificate, the enterprise founder or the enterprise selects the level four economic industry in the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification to record the business line in the enterprise registration dossier.
