This group includes:

– Production and refining of precious metals, worked or unworked, such as gold, silver, platinum… from ore or scrap metal;

– Production of precious metal alloys;

– Production of semi-finished products of precious metals;

– Production of silver rolled onto base metals;

– Production of gold rolled onto base metals or silver;

– Production of platinum and platinum group metals rolled onto gold, silver, and base metals;

– Production of precious metal foil;

– Production of jewelry made from precious metals is classified under group 32110 (Manufacture of jewelry and related articles).

24202: Production of non-ferrous metals

This group includes:

– Production of aluminum from alumina;

– Production of aluminum from electrolytic refining of aluminum waste and scrap metal;

– Production of aluminum alloys;

– Primary processing of aluminum;

– Production of lead, zinc, tin from ore;

– Production of lead, zinc, tin from electrolytic refining of lead, zinc, tin waste and scrap metal;

– Production of lead, zinc, and tin alloys;

– Primary processing of lead, zinc, and tin;

– Production of copper from ore;

– Production of copper from electrolytic refining of copper waste and scrap metal;

– Production of copper alloys;

– Production of fuse wire;

– Primary processing of copper;

– Production of chromium, manganese, nickel… from electrolytic refining and aluminum of chromium, manganese, nickel… waste and scrap metal;

– Production of chromium, manganese, nickel… alloys;

– Primary processing of chromium, manganese, nickel…;

– Production of substances from nickel…;

– Processing of nuclear fuel.

This group also includes:

– Production of wires of the above metals by drawing;

– Production of aluminum oxide (Alumina);

– Production of aluminum-coated metal;

– Production of aluminum (tin) foil where aluminum (tin) foil is the main material.

Excluding: Casting of non-ferrous metals is classified under group 24320 (Casting of non-ferrous metals).
