1. What is a business industry code?

Business industry codes are a series of numbers coded to represent a specific business line. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. Level 4 industry codes (4 digits) are used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 2410 Manufacture of iron, steel, cast iron

This group includes:

Activities such as direct extraction from iron ore, production of molten or solid pig iron; conversion of pig iron into steel; production of ferroalloys. production of steel, production of plates (e.g. discs, sheets, boards, wire) and production of steel in the form of ingots, tubes such as:

– Operating blast furnaces, steel rolling mills, drawing mills and finishing facilities;

– Production of pig iron, production of cast iron into ingots, slabs and other primary forms;

– Production of ferroalloys;

– Production of ferrous metals by direct reduction of iron and other powdered ferrous metal products, production of steel from refining by electrolysis or other chemical processes;

– Production of iron in granular and powdered form;

– Production of steel in the form of ingots or other primary forms;

– Production of semi-finished steel products;

– Production of hot-rolled, cold-rolled and flat-rolled steel products;

– Production of hot-rolled steel bars;

– Production of hot-rolled open sections;

– Production of steel bars and rigid sections from steel by cold drawing, grinding or turning;

– Production of obscure sections by cold forming, roll forming or corrugating flat-rolled steel products;

– Production of steel wire by cold drawing or stretching;

– Production of steel pipe fittings such as flat flanges and flanged joints, welded joints.

Excluded:

– Production of steel pipe molds and cast steel fittings is classified under group 24310 (Casting of iron and steel);

– Production of seamless steel tubes by centrifugal casting is classified under group 24310 (Casting of iron and steel);

– Production of cast steel fittings is classified under group 24310 (Casting of iron and steel).

3. Suggestions for recording Industry Code 2410 Manufacture of iron, steel, cast iron

– When registering for enterprise establishment, when notifying changes to business lines or when requesting a change to the Enterprise Registration Certificate, the enterprise founder or enterprise selects a four-digit economic sector from the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification system to record the business lines in the enterprise registration dossier. The business registration authority guides, cross-checks and records the enterprise’s business lines in the National Business Registration Database.

– For conditional business lines regulated by other legal documents, the business line shall be recorded according to the regulations in those legal documents.
