1. What is a business industry code?

A business industry code is a series of numbers coded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. The 4-digit industry code (level 4) is the code used for business registration.

The Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification (VSIC) system, issued under Decision 36/2025/QD-TTg, has a hierarchical structure with 5 levels, from general to specific:

• Level 1: C (Manufacturing)
• Level 2: 10 (Food processing and manufacturing)
• Level 3: 107 (Manufacture of other food products)
• Level 4: 1075 (Manufacture of prepared meals and dishes)
• Level 5: 10751 (Manufacture of prepared meals and dishes from meat)

2. Regulations on Industry Code 2030 Manufacture of man-made fibres

This group includes:

– Manufacture of artificial or synthetic filament tow, yarn, staple fibres;

– Manufacture of artificial or synthetic staple fibres not carded or otherwise processed for spinning;

– Manufacture of artificial or synthetic monofilament, including high-tenacity yarn;

– Manufacture of synthetic or artificial multi-filament;

– Manufacture of recycled fibres.

Excludes:

– Spinning of synthetic or artificial fibres is classified under group 13110 (Manufacture of yarn);

– Manufacture of yarn from man-made fibres is classified under group 13110 (Manufacture of yarn);

– Manufacture of carbon fibres is classified under group 23990 (Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products n.e.c.).

3. Suggestions for writing Industry Code 2030 Manufacture of man-made fibres

– When registering a business establishment, when notifying changes to business lines, or when requesting a change to a Business Registration Certificate, the business founder or enterprise selects a level four economic industry in the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification to record the business line in the enterprise registration application. The business registration authority guides, cross-references, and records the enterprise’s business lines in the National Business Registration Database.

– For conditional business lines stipulated in other legal normative documents, the business lines shall be recorded according to the lines stipulated in those normative legal documents.
