1. What is a business industry code?

A business industry code is a sequence of numbers encoded to represent a specific business line. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. The 4-digit industry code (Level 4) is the code used for business registration.

– Manufacture of fermented but not distilled alcoholic beverages such as sake, cider, perry, mead, other fruit wines and mixed alcoholic beverages;

– Manufacture of vermouth and similar beverages.

This group also includes:

– Blending of wines;

– Manufacture of non-alcoholic and low-alcoholic wines.

Excludes:

– Manufacture of vinegar is classified under group 10790 (Manufacture of other food products not elsewhere classified);

– Bottling and labeling are classified under group 463 (Wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco products) if this work is part of wholesale trade and under group 82920 (Packaging services) if carried out on a fee or contract basis.

The Business Registration Authority guides, cross-checks, and records the enterprise’s business lines in the National Enterprise Registration Database.

– For conditional business lines stipulated in other legal documents, the business line must be recorded according to the provisions of those legal documents.
