2. Regulations on Industry Code 1072 Sugar Production

This group includes:

– Production of sugar (sucrose), molasses, beet sugar and other sugars from sugar-containing plants. Refining raw sugar into refined sugar (RE). Production of syrups, refined liquid molasses made from cane sugar or sugar from other sugar-containing plants such as beet sugar, maple sugar, palm sugar;

– Production of liquid sugar;

– Production of molasses.

Excludes:

– Production of lactose, lactose syrup is classified under group 10500 (Manufacture of dairy products);

– Production of glucose, glucose syrup, maltose is classified under group 10620 (Manufacture of starch and starch products).
