1. What is a business industry code?

A business industry code is a sequence of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. A 4-digit industry code (level 4) is used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 1020 Processing and Preservation of Fish, Crustaceans and Molluscs, and Products thereof

This group includes:

– Processing and preserving fish, shrimp, crab and molluscs; chilling, drying, smoking, salting, brining, canning, etc.;

– Producing fish, shrimp, crab and mollusc products; cooked fish, fish fillets, fried fish, caviar, caviar by-products, etc.;

– Producing food for human or animal consumption from fish;

– Producing food from fish and other aquatic animals not for human consumption.

This group also includes:

– Activities of vessels not engaged in fishing but only in processing and preserving fish, crustaceans and molluscs;

– Processing seaweed;

– Heading, gutting, filleting fish and then freezing them.

Excludes:

– Production of oils and fats from aquatic raw materials are classified under group 10401 (Production of animal and vegetable oils and fats);

– Production of prepared dishes from fish, crustaceans and molluscs are classified under group 10752 (Production of prepared dishes and meals from fish, crustaceans and molluscs);

– Production of fish soup is classified under group 10790 (Manufacture of other food products n.e.c.).

10201: Processing and preservation of frozen fish, crustaceans and molluscs

This group includes:

– Processing of food primarily from frozen fish, crustaceans and molluscs;

– Preserving fish, crustaceans and molluscs primarily by freezing.

10202: Processing and preservation of dried fish, crustaceans and molluscs

This group includes:

– Processing of food primarily from dried fish, crustaceans and molluscs;

– Preserving fish, crustaceans and molluscs primarily by drying, smoking, salting and canning.

10203: Processing and preservation of fish sauce

This group includes: Processing and preservation of fermented sauces (mam) from fish and other aquatic animals.

10209: Processing and preservation of other products from fish, crustaceans and molluscs

This group includes: Other processing and preservation activities for products from fish, crustaceans and molluscs not classified elsewhere.
