1. What is a business industry code?
A business industry code is a sequence of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. The 4-digit industry code (Level 4) is the code used for business registration.
The Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification (VSIC) system, issued under Decision No. 36/2025/QD-TTg, has a hierarchical structure with 5 levels, from general to specific:

This group also includes: Slaughtering whales on land or on specialized vessels.
10102: Processing and preservation of meat
– Production of fresh, chilled or frozen meat, whole carcasses;
– Production of fresh, chilled or frozen meat, in cuts;
– Production of fresh, chilled or frozen meat, in separate portions;
– Whale processing activities on land or on specialized vessels;
– Production of raw hides and skins and furs originating from slaughtering activities, including from fur traders;
– Processing of animal fat;
– Processing of animal offal;
– Production of feathers.
10109: Processing and preservation of meat products
This group includes:
– Production of dried, smoked, or salted meat;
– Production of meat products including: sausages, pâtés, hams.

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 1010 Processing and preservation of meat and meat products
