1. What is a business industry code?

Business industry code is a series of numbers coded to represent a specific business industry. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. A 4-digit industry code (level 4) is the code used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 0520 Lignite mining and collection

This group includes:

– Lignite (brown coal) mining: Underground or surface mining activities, including mining by liquefaction methods;

– Washing, dewatering, crushing and other lignite collection activities to facilitate coal storage and transport.

Excludes:

– Hard coal mining is classified under group 05100 (Hard coal mining and collection);

– Peat mining and collection is classified under group 08920 (Peat mining and collection);

– Exploratory drilling services for coal mining are classified under group 09900 (Other mining support service activities);

– Lignite mining support activities are classified under group 09900 (Other mining support service activities);

– Manufacture of coal products containing lignite, peat is classified under group 19200 (Manufacture of refined petroleum products; manufacture of fossil fuel products);

– Activities related to construction or preparation of facilities for coal mining are classified under group 43120 (Site preparation).

3. Suggestions for recording Industry Code 0510 Lignite mining and collection

– When registering a new enterprise, when notifying changes to business lines, or when requesting a change to a Business Registration Certificate, the enterprise founder or enterprise shall select the four-digit economic sector in the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification System to record the business line in the enterprise registration dossier. – For conditional business lines regulated by other legal documents, the business lines shall be recorded according to the regulations in those legal documents.
