1. What is a Business Industry Code?

Business industry code is a sequence of numbers encoded to represent a specific business industry. This group includes farming of crustaceans (crabs…), bivalve molluscs and other molluscs (oysters, mussels, abalone…) and other aquatic species (seaweed, agar-agar,…).

03214: Production of marine aquatic seeds

This group includes activities of breeding, rearing, and domesticating seeds of various aquatic species (fish, shrimp, other aquatic species) for the purpose of selling them for commercial farming, ornamental farming, or recreational farming in saltwater environments.

This group also includes:

– Aquaculture in saltwater tanks, ponds;

– Sea worm farming.

Excluded: Farming of soft-shell turtles, frogs, crocodiles is classified under group 03224 (Inland aquaculture seed production).

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 0321 Marine Aquaculture
