1. What is a business industry code?

A business industry code is a series of numbers encoded to represent a specific business line. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table for registration. The 4-digit industry code (level 4) is the one used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 0118 Cultivation of vegetables, various beans, and flowers

01181: Cultivation of various vegetables

This group includes: Activities of cultivating various types of vegetables:

– Cultivation of leafy vegetables such as: Mustard greens, cabbage, water spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, asparagus, crown daisy, water celery, celery, and other leafy vegetables;

– Cultivation of fruiting vegetables such as: Watermelons, cucumbers, bitter melon, pumpkins, tomatoes, eggplants, chili peppers, various melons and other fruiting vegetables;

– Cultivation of root vegetables, including roots or stems such as: Kohlrabi, carrots, radishes, onions, garlic, leeks, coriander, chives and other root or stem vegetables;

Excludes:

– Cultivation of spice plants is classified under group 01281 (Cultivation of perennial spice plants) and group 01282 (Cultivation of perennial medicinal and aromatic plants);

– Gathering of wild fruits and vegetables such as: Dracontomelon, wild mushrooms, wild vegetables, wild fruits… are classified under group 02302 (Gathering of non-wood forest products).

– Mushroom spawn production is classified under group 01301 (Propagation and care of annual seedlings).

01182: Cultivation of various beans

This group includes: Activities of cultivating various types of beans for harvesting seeds such as: black beans, green beans, soybeans, cannellini beans, peas…

Excludes: Soybean cultivation is classified under group 01170 (Cultivation of oilseed crops).

01183: Cultivation of annual flowers

This group includes: Cultivation for sale of various types of flowers serving daily life, landscape beautification, environmental improvement, cultural activities…

3. Suggested ways to record Industry Code 0118 Cultivation of vegetables, various beans, and flowers

– When registering for enterprise establishment, when notifying changes in business lines, or when requesting to replace the Certificate of Business Registration, the enterprise founder or the enterprise selects the level four economic sector in the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification system to record the business lines in the enterprise registration dossier. The Business Registration Office provides guidance, verifies, and records the enterprise’s business lines in the National Business Registration Database.

– For conditional business lines and sectors specified in other legal normative documents, the business line is recorded according to the regulations in those legal normative documents.
