1. What is a business industry code?

Business industry code is a sequence of encoded numbers that represents a specific business line. Organizations and individuals, when preparing business registration documents, must use this business industry code table to register. A 4-digit industry code (Level 4 code) is used for business registration.

2. Regulations on Industry Code 0331 Support activities for fishing

This group includes:

– Service activities related to providing ice and supplies to fishing vessels;

– Transportation services for caught aquatic products;

– Other support activities for fishing.

Excludes:

– Activities of sport hunting and fishing areas are classified under group 93190 (Other sport activities);

– Support activities for sport or recreational fishing and hunting are classified under group 93190 (Other sport activities).

– Rental of sea-going cargo vessels with crew (such as fish and shrimp carriers) is classified under group 50121 (Coastal freight water transport);

– Inspection, control, and protection activities for offshore fishing fleets are classified under group 84230 (Public order and safety activities);

– Service activities related to sport fishing or recreational fishing are classified under group 93190 (Other sport activities);

– Net making and mending are classified under group 13940 (Manufacture of cordage, rope, twine and netting);

– Repair of fishing vessels and boats is classified under group 33150 (Repair and maintenance of transport equipment (except motor vehicles, motorcycles, and other motor-driven vehicles)).

3. Suggested way to record Industry Code 0331 Support activities for fishing

– When registering a business establishment, notifying changes to business lines, or requesting a change to the Enterprise Registration Certificate, the business founder or enterprise selects the four-digit economic sector from the Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification system to record the business line in the enterprise registration dossier. The business registration authority guides, cross-references, and records the enterprise’s business lines in the National Database on Enterprise Registration.

– For conditional business lines stipulated in other legal documents, the business line shall be recorded according to the provisions in those legal documents.
